well, it's legal in the netherlands, so the argument 'illegal' can't be used here.
and what if i eat some 'space-cake'? or eat magic mushrooms?
should marijuana be considered a disfellowshipping offense?
there's plenty of evidence that tobacco has cancer causing agents and can thus be deemed a defilement of the flesh.. .
therefore, since we have these promises, beloved ones, let us cleanse ourselves of every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in gods fear.

if you still go or remember the days when you did what did you think about while you were sat there?
obviously it's very difficult to concentrate.. lol..assemblies i find impossible and have often drifted off to sleep, listening to the endless same old stuff.. .
and i want some funny stories.. .
when i started to find out the 'truth' about 'the truth', i spent the meetings reading the bible and my kingdom interlinear making notes. i think that ki looked amost apostate to some and a few ask me what i was reading. loads of bro's/sis' didn't know this was actually a wts-book. :-p sometimes when i got really cheeky i had a book with me, for example 'paul's idea of community' and i even think i gave a commence using this book during the bookstudy about women in paul's time. ;-) they basicly loved everything i said so never a bad comment about that.
but most of the times i was soooo pissed off and sometimes almost in tears, because of the things i heared and read. i spent a lot of time on the toilet, putting my head against the cold tiles or going upstairs to pray...
i'm so glad i haven't been to a meeting in 1,5 years, it makes my blood boil thinking back about those times. :-(
whilst my parents were at the meeting yesterday i let myself in to their house to look through photos.
i was looking for old family photos for a family gathering we are planning as a surprise for my folks.
anyway, there were tons of pics of them at bethel visits throughout the world.
oh yes! i wore my white cap and clogs to the international convention in copenhagen. :-p to be honest, i looked cute as hell, lol...
i loved international conventions. i was in twickingham as well. '98 wasn't it? and paris... (met a very cute italian brother who wrote to me after the convention. when i used to call him and he answered the phone in italian, i nearly died. ;-) to bad he preferred pioneering more. :-p)
now i'm into re-enactment (regency period mostly), so i can still dress up!
this weekend serious sources told me that in the netherlands the society is closing down all non-native congregations.
because of the mixed population of this country, there are >100 non-native congregations like english, france, dutch-caribian, arab, chinese, italian, russian, spanish etc.. my source was backing the dissision of the society because "these non-native congregations are islands on their own, with group-thinking and not allways listening to the society..." and concluded "these non-natives has to learn dutch instead of we are learning their language".. strange: some years ago many jw's learned a foreign language (like arab or chinese!
) and now they are all closing down.
yes, i can confirm this, but will do later, because my phone doesn't want to make capital letters on this website. :-p and typing is much easier on my laptop.
i just downloaded the studie wt and i really thought 'did i download the right wt or is this the simplied wt?
' i felt i was reading 'my book of bible stories'!!

it was a woman from our old congo.
we have our 9 foot christmas tree in the window.
the blinds were closed, but we have one of those windows above a window, so if she was looking she saw it.. .
Fantastic! Well if they ring the bell make sure the bell play's 'Jingle Bells' and you open the door in a Santa outfit 'ho, ho, ho!' ;-)
a little bit of background information.
i haven't been to the meetings for 1,5 year now and my mum and dad try to 'encourage' me all the time... .
the co is visiting and i already know that the encouraging will begin, but even worse.
A little bit of background information. I haven't been to the meetings for 1,5 year now and my mum and dad try to 'encourage' me all the time...
The CO is visiting and I already know that the encouraging will begin, but even worse. She sent me an email yesterday with her notes of the talks (if you're interested: same stuff we are hearing for years) and now she sent me a text that the CO said in the min-servant meeting that 'the end is soooo close now'...
I really wanted to respond with a text that says 'really? I thought that even the Son doesn't know that?', but I just can't be bothered anymore. It pains me that I cannot have a normal and open relationship with my mum and dad anymore. We have always been so close.
So I just responded with 'I'm glad he (my dad) had such a good time'.
have anyone of you read, the absolutly jaw dropping paragraph in this article about a women who was hit by her husband?
its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .
if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?
i just came across this on another thread with pictures/photos ,is this for real ?
i couldnt beleive my eyes or ears?.
the control that this organization has over it`s members... is ..is ... well it`s a cult !!
i always had a good laugh about the clothes you see in the literature, because it just looks sooo outdated. but i have got to be honest, we (bro/sis in the netherlands) all thought it was just american 'fashion'. :-p no way i would dream of wearing that crap, not even when i was pioneering! and neither did my friends!
and awful white 80's trainers under a skirt?! you've got to be kidding me... that is how i spot the american tourist in amsterdam: terrible clothes and backpacks and fat girls with trainers and skirts, lol... ;-)
apologies if already discussed - the second cos talk discusses 4 "important" areas where jws need to consider the biblical principles involved.. answers on a postcode ( clue - one word - 2 letters - 1st letter is "n" ).
should a true christian?:.

Well, our old hall used to be a dance hall for ballroom dancing. It has the original floor and the lightbox in the middle (!!) still underneath the awful grey carpet... Remove it and you can have a hell of a party!! :P
